Mr Kamel is a consultant eye surgeon at Queen Mary's Sidcup and Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich. He had his surgical training in the South East London region and followed it by an Oculoplastic fellowship at Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham.

He specialises in high volume, small incision cataract surgery. His special interest is Oculoplastics (eyelids and lacrimal). His NHS practice has a special Oculoplastic clinic for lid malpositions, droopy lids, watery eyes and lid lesions (including tumors).

Mr Kamel offers private consultations at the Blackheath Hospital and Fawkham Manor Hospital.
